Monday Mystery Photo – Where in the World are We?

Where in the World are we today? Beautiful distinctive mountains, perfect climate, and carefree attitudes. ( that is a hint, btw!)

Last week we were at Checkpoint Charlie, correctly identified by Ingrid D. The old border post between Berlin and East Germany prior to the Wall coming down. Here is a section of it outside the Checkpoint Charlie Museum, which you will appreciate if you lived through that period of history called the “Cold War”Berlin WallThe stores this piece of cement could tell, hey? Something to ponder about in our sober moments.

About Forestwoodfolk

Scandinavian culture, literature and traditions are close to my heart, even though I am Australian. I have Scandinavian, Frisian and Prussian/Silesian ancestry and for that reason, I feel a connection with that part of the world. I am an avid Nordic Crime fiction reader, and enjoy photography, writing and a variety of cooking and crafts, and traditional decorative art forms. Politically aware and egalitarian by nature, I have a strong environmental bent.
