In life, a quest might take us on unexpected paths, with possibilities that are open, wide or endless, or narrow and constricted, limiting our options.
The difficulty is to breathe in, and squeeze through the narrow tunnels of life.
It is then we can fully appreciate the exhilaration of achievement and persistence on the open road.

A philosophic Aussie writes here at StPA, one who will readily admit to loving Scandinavia. I'm interested in global politics and what drives us to be who we are. Scratch the surface and you'll find a practical Environmentalist with an egalitarian bent, trying to unleash a little creativity via the written word.
Scandinavian culture, literature and traditions are close to my heart, even though I'm Australian. Travel and courteous discussions greatly broaden the mind, so I travel if I can and am always up for a vigorous, respectful discussion. I'm an avid reader, a writer and I enjoy photography and crafts, particularly traditional art forms. I hope you'll find 'Something to Ponder About,' in my WordPress Community.

Wise words. That is a long causeway, indeed. Natural, or man-made?

The photos remind me of a dijk in Holland . However there are double traffic lanes each way and also has dozens of wind turbines built on it.

It also reminded me of the Zuiderzee Gerard, and the dijk around Hindeloopen.

That’s the dijk I was referring to. The Zuidersee is now called Ijselmeer. Sea no more since the dijkwas built. A lot of the formal Zijderzee is now land used for housing.

That place looks amazing – is it the ocean on both sides? I think the description goes very well with those photos 🙂

Very nicely worded, Amanda, and the photos are excellent. The route of that road is amazing. It looks like some kind of causeway, although I suppose it could be man-made. It doe look pretty natural, though.

I suspect it is natural but perhaps a little help from man as there was some reclamation works in the area. I have been trying to find out.
