A philosophic Australian writes here, one who admits to loving Scandinavia. I'm interested in global politics, but scratch the surface and you'll find I am a practical Environmentalist with an Egalitarian bent trying to unleash a little creativity.
Scandinavian culture, literature and traditions are close to my heart, even though I am Australian. Travel broadens the mind, so I travel whenever I can. I am an avid reader, I enjoy photography, writing and a variety of crafts, particularly traditional art forms. You are always welcome to stop by at S.t.P.A.

Thank you, Alison. Sometimes neighbours have a terrible reputation and we have had some in the past. In my new community, the kindness and thoughtfulness of neighbour has been evident in the pandemic.
It happens. I have dealt with them too. It is helping us to learn how to handle difficult people in our midst, I think, Alison. Each side has to bend and flex and then respond appropriately, according to the situation. You whatsapp group sounds fun. Does it work well?
I never see these people normally.
There are only 9 houses in our street and we usually have a Christmas street party. So it was nice that everyone was getting to know one another finally. We are very good friends also with the neighbours at the back of us.

Neighbours can either make your life hell or be such an asset. The ones that make you life hell are challenges we must reframe our perspective of, if they allow us to do so.
The only time we had bad neighbours, we were lucky enough to be planning to move away anyway. They certainly made day-to-day life less comfortable, and home less … homely.
Yes lucky for you that you moved away quickly. I agree with your comment, Margaret. I would not like to live with neighbours that threatened a person in some way or were dangerous. Can you imagine what it must be like to have your home not be a sanctuary? I would have to rent the house/flat and leave asap, I think. I need that secure base where I can relax and be me.
Great proverbs, Amanda. I love them all. Of course, in my case even my dogs love was the greatest in my life. I do have a few good neighbors and many that stay to themselves but no really awful neighbors and that’s a real blessing. I’ve heard some horror stories. I live in a safe area so my fortune is very expansive. Edison had it right. The more you fail, the more you know what not to do again. Eventually, you succeed. 😉 Have a great week ahead.
Oh yes, we show the link to your blog so people know where to find you. You will receive a link to the video and a feature card as they are posted. Thank you for being a part of our upcoming issue 🙂
Great little reminders, thank you!

We are lucky also and have a street whatsapp group
But I haven’t always been so lucky and have had some awful neighbours in the past

No one is rich enough to do without a neighbour. That’s the one I like best.
