A philosophic Aussie writes here at StPA, one who will readily admit to loving Scandinavia. I'm interested in global politics and what drives us to be who we are. Scratch the surface and you'll find a practical Environmentalist with an egalitarian bent, trying to unleash a little creativity via the written word.
Scandinavian culture, literature and traditions are close to my heart, even though I'm Australian. Travel and courteous discussions greatly broaden the mind, so I travel if I can and am always up for a vigorous, respectful discussion. I'm an avid reader, I enjoy photography and craft, particularly traditional art forms. I hope you'll find 'Something to Ponder About,' in my WordPress Community.

Correct, Peggy. It does our mind and soul good to step back and observe the good around us, even in the worst of times. I love that you recognize that.
No, it is almost the same. Mine has dogs, three of them, nd my husband, children and grand children in their own space. So I just add a piece, and a plural.
I love these slices, Amanda. A good way to affirm what’s important in life.
As Mr. Rogers said, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” 😊
I paraphrased and adapted an old and very wise Norwegian proverb so not entirely my words, RW. I do like and try to practice it, though. These old proverbs are so true in their essence.
I’ve had this post opened in my browser for a while now. It just makes me good looking at your diagram. Zero community connection here, but the rest looks about the same. All well to you.
Too true Amanda!

For others, their pie chart might be very different to mine. Everyone is an individual.

We are surrounded by good when we take the time to notice.

I like this, it is refreshing to think about it. To ponder about it.

Indeed. Dr Christa. Ponder away! I wonder if your pie chart will differ dramatically to mine.

Now that I think about it, this might be true for many others too. So these are the core things that we all treasure the most, not possessions.

Indeed, that is my feeling as well?

An optimistic but pragmatic view, Jane. Society isn’t always what you hear on the nightly news.

‘Amidst the darkness, turn your face only towards the sun, so the shadows will always fall behind you.’ What a wonderful sentiment, Amanda.

Thank you dear Manja. It looked like an older version. I see a typo there that I have since fixed! Lol. Hope you are doing well too.
